Stories on the Move: Storytelling through Poetry and Dance

Stories on the Move: Storytelling through poetry and dance

The Nightingale Rooms, Surrey Street, Brighton. Wednesday 11th October, 7pm. Tickets £8 in advance, £10 on door.

This autumn, Share Your Story is teaming up with local artists Katrina Quinn and Tick Tock Bridget to present something a little different: a special double-bill night of physically dynamic and creative storytelling.

And in usual SYS style, there’ll be a chance to ask questions and learn more about the storyteller’s personal and artistic journeys.

Katrina Quinn ( swims onto the stage with her award-nominated solo show, “Individual Medley”. Spoken word meets physical theatre in the coming-of-age tale about moving from Basingstoke to Zambia, aged 12. Katrina explores the joys and challenges of crossing borders, in the many forms they take. Expect to laugh, cry, reminisce and leave wanting to swim more.

Tick Tock Bridget ( are dance artists who came together in 2015 to create live performances that celebrate the everyday stories we share. “Rejoining Jane” invites you into a playful and joyful dance experience, journeying in and out of reality. Eavesdrop on their conversations, delight in the maps, music and movement.

Katrina and Tick Tock Bridget both had successful sold-out runs at Brighton Fringe. Don’t miss out!

We're at a new venue this month - The Nightingale Rooms, Surrey Street, Brighton. Tickets are £8 in advance or £10 on the door. See you there!
